  • Sophia is a public involvement and workforce development professional for TMS whose focus is excellent service throughout many South Florida cities and counties. She is a recognized and valued professional.

    Sophia is a recognized leader in her community. Sophia understands that with one person caring there can be a tremendous impact that will last a lifetime. Sophia is a visionary and capitalized on her influence to start the Urban League of Palm Beach County Young Professionals, Palm Beach Power Partners Network Group, Broward Power Partners and The Caribbean Democratic Club of Palm Beach County. A member of West Palm Beach Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta, Board member of Girls II Women Inc, YWCA of Palm Beach County (Racial Justice Chair) and a past and current board member of numerous other local agencies she continues to build strong allegiances within the region.

    Sophia holds an undergraduate degree in Pre-Law and Sociology from Bethune Cookman University Daytona Beach, a Master's degree in Criminological Theory from the University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa Alabama, and is a Doctoral Candidate at Walden University. Sophia A. Nelson is a dedicated public servant. In her spare time Sophia likes to read romance novels, watch reality shows, shop and listen to reggae.
